Villain in this hand (sb) is nothing special. I haven't seen him do anything out of line--other than sucking preflop, by which i mean he will call a PF raise oop with KTo after limping and the like).

I have been playing a very passive straightforward game. No shown bluffs or wacky hands at show down. Everyone at the table is chatting it up, being friendly in general. So, I decide its a good time to steal a nice pot.

Effective stacks are about 180.

Five Handed 200NL

preflop:

one fold, one call, one fold, SB make it 8 to go, I call with 7h8h, limper calls.

Three to the flop:

Ah2h8x (24 clams)

sb leads out for 8 * i took this to mean one of two things, either he has KK, QQ, JJ and wants to see how everyone feels about the A. Or, he has AK/AQ and wants to "milk" anyone with a lesser A.** Not one to let someone get away with a weak bet like that I make it 35 to go /images/graemlins/confused.gif. I want to shut the LP guy out and hopefully make SB fold if he has any of the hands i mentioned. LP folds he calls. Stubborn bastard.

turn:

Ah2h8x 5x ah the beautiful 5x! (94)

sb checks, he has about 117 left, I push /images/graemlins/grin.gif

What do you think?

I'm for it. Bet/pot sizes worked out nicely for the move, too.

So pretty, I almost teared up a little bit.
