This isn't a very good description...

Otherwise, nice timeline.

And this isn't very helpful or constructive.

If you're going to criticize the description, at least offer your own version so everyone knows the "correct way" in which they should refer to this date.

The date by which the FRS is supposed to, but won't,issue regulations to regulate certain banking activities under the UIGEA.

Some people have theorized that DOJ arrests in recent online gaming cases were timed with major sport events, such as the Superbowl and March Madness. So there's the possibility that the DOJ may make more arrests during the WSOP to help spread their morally evangelistic anti-poker message. They would love to hear Lon McEachern do a segment about "recent arrests" during WSOP broadcasts.

Personally, I don't think this is very likely. The DOJ seems to be concentrating more on sportsbooks, not poker.

But I wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility that the DOJ would go so far as to arrest a named player on the floor of the WSOP.

I also think there is a very small chance the DOJ could try to seize third party registrations from online poker sites. Especially if the registrant is from the United States.

Extremely small I'd say since some (maybe most) sites haven't figured out how to get around Harrah's rules against 3rd party registration and are putting cash in player's accounts with the hope/understanding/delusion that the player will cash out and enter directly himself.

No thank you. Someone asked a question about my OP. I answered it. The OP is entirely appropriate and focused on issues related to poker law and legislation.

This thread is 100% appropriate for Legislation (except for its glaring omission of GAD).

The thread might be, the ridiculous sidetrack into girlish speculation is not. It belongs in NVG.

[/ QUOTE ]This is stupid. Its part legislation, part NVG. If you don't like it, don't read it. The more you post your stupid "Move to NVG" comments, the more it moves up to the front of the page, and the more other people read it. Personally, I think its fine here, but even if it wasn't it's close. So who cares.
