Now I know what it means to run bad...

I played around of 75K of NL hands in my career. The fist 70K I was winning around 5BB/100 on Party NL50 and NL100. I had some standard downswings but I always bounced back. Nothing serious.

But this month its getting ridiculous. Before the swing I had just around 1000K left because of cashout and had to move from NL100 quickly after that 4 buying swing. 50NL was not much better so I decided to play some NL25 while i run bad.

But that was just a beginning....
It ridiculous how bad I run on Party NL25:
When I get the money in its either suckout (flopped flush is no good against bottom two pair) or some sick cooler. I lost FOUR buyins in these 5K hands when i went all in PF with KK and villain had AA. What are the odds of that??? And when I got it in with AA vs 77 seven falls on the flop %$#%%#$%%%#%%#$%#$
Oh,... and I don't remeber when was the last time I won a pot with flopped top pair. Seriousy .. I've never seen so many turned/rivered two pairs.

Are downswings like that (-15 buyins) standard? When can I expect it to end...


BEAT: -23BB/100 on Party NL25

BRAG: The good thing is that i cashed out most of the money before downswing and had only a little over $1000 left. I would loose a lot more if I continued to play on NL100...

VARIANCE: I have 300 left and I'm playing NL25 when I could be making monies on NL100


P.S. Is there a chance that I suck at poker and was just running extremly hot for 70K hands?

you prolly don't suck (except at NL 100 where your river aggro factor is too high). From the stats i see, you're a pretty much breakeven a tag who ran hot and is now runnning bad.

These things are very shortlived, you will win a few buy-ins and end this 15 buy-in downswing. Then you will begin a new 10 buy-in downswing, bringing your total loss to 22 buy-ins. Then you will get even after 30K hands and feel good only to commence another 10 buy-in drop.

by normal i mean we all play bad enough sometimes to do this,

but i honestly haven't had that big of a swing (-30)

but i've had -20 buy in swings at NL100 and that doesn't feel too good

I have had the problem of having KK in LP and one of the blinds or button waking up with AAs 4times in my last 5K hands also, the worst part is the last 5K hands are my first 5K hands at NL200 the good part is I only lost 2buyins ins without sucking out a K in all 4 situations but still I am down like 3BIs since I moved up I am really having a tough time believing the RNG on stars is working correctly
