Was calling flop to see what he does on the turn a mistake?
I think he was kind of fishy and mixed it up with marginal hands, but I hadn't played with him long.

I thought for a long time before folding turn, and he says, 'lol' then 'I had you'. I don't know if he really had me. I put him 44 or KJ or maybe some crap that he is overplaying. I didn't think he was bluffing, but I guess there is some chance that he was.

did he say "then I had you" or just "I had you"......because clearly if he said "lol then I had you" then it was jamie gold and you were probably bluffed.

Raise more preflop!!! 0.7$ is very very poor... And 44 is easily calling you there.

Make it at least 1$ preflop imo... Then make larger c-bet on the flop like 2$. Actually, I think I would be calling here... He might be on a draw, if you say he's kinda fishy, or KQ top pair some [censored] /images/graemlins/smile.gif

lay it down. the small pf raise is probably what f-ed you here.

if he said "if you folded then i had you" he probably didn't have a set, but that doesn't help you during the hand.

Before calling $8 more on the flop you should ask yourself what you're going to do on a blank turn to a shove.

that 6 really couldn't have helped him. I think just fold the flop

1.25 preflop
fold flop if youre going to fold blank turn which you should because he can have any 2 bc of preflop.

pre flop raise little small don't know if a dollar is going to do much differnt however, if they call 70 whats another .30cents. Same as for cbing if there going to call or riase 1.75 there going to call or raise 2. But what others have said is right about having a plan about how to play a blank turn, and if your folding a blank turn you should be folding on the flop.

An easy fold on the flop. At least you got away on the turn!

pre-flop raise should be bigger, between 1-1.25.

Flop raise should be bigger, raise between 5-6. When he re-raises its very marginal. Probably let it go here. Go to war with big hands, one pair in this spot doesn't seem good.

def raise more pre not so much to induce folds but for value. Reads would be nice but this is a fold vs most opponents. Does he limp preflop with KJ and KQ? I would fold but if he is fishy enough you could be losing value against KQ K10 but this is very read dependend and if this guy sucks there will be better spots.
