i figured i might have some fold equity plus i am not a dog to anything except a set really. guy is passive/spazzy if that makes sense, like 50/5/1, doesn't raise much pf and postflop can be kinda weird -- wider range and he can raise things like tpnk or draws.

is this the right play?

nl25 6m. effective stacks $25.

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 6/images/graemlins/club.gif 8/images/graemlins/club.gif
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: 7/images/graemlins/club.gif Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif 5/images/graemlins/club.gif ($0.85, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $0.85</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">UTG+1 raises to $3.4</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in $24.74</font>

yeah, no need to hold back here. if you just made a big raise, you'd be putting the rest in on the turn anyway and the FE is certainly good enough.

I'm doing the same all day, but never hit anything /images/graemlins/smile.gif guy calls with QJ and you don't hit, so annoying!

well it's only a coin flip in your favor against TP w/an over card as a kicker. the fe is what makes this legit.

He's ahead on the flop against 1 pair...

i know but it's still a coin flip. he has a pair often enough to justify moving here, and even if he has a set you are still in coin flip range.

this over shove is fine,

however from the read it feels like you have no FE, since he's 50/3/1 and he's raising, it's unlikely he'll fold

but this is also a value shove, so it's fine,

it is also ok to play it passively, this is not a leak either way

open ended straight flush draw? Getty up! I'm going to get as much money in as fast as possible.
