I'm against semi laggy opponent. We both have full stacks at $50 tables.

He opens to $2. I raise from the SB with AA to $8. He reraises me to $20.

Are players at $50 gonna fold anything they 4bet if I 5 bet?

Go for it... He probably has Queens or Kings, when you say "semi laggy" /images/graemlins/smile.gif 4bet preflop usually is very strong, especially if he raises UTG and 3 bets you... GO FOR IT /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My plan was to call and the checkraise any flop except perhaps KKQ.

I was asking only because I was worried that by pushing, I give him a chance to possibly get away from QQ or KK.

maybe u can start thinking about that when u reach NL400.

what happens if he has QQ and the flop has an A or a K on it? you are going to lose action. your call preflop shows u have a very strong hand.

if the guy is smart enough to fold QQ preflop from ur all-in bet. he is probably smart enough to let go on the flop, especially since ur hand will be very well defined after he reraises to $20

and it was against a reg who had 4bet me for the first time ever

If he has KK, he will win 18% of the time, so each time you get it all in preflop in this situation, you are winning

100$*0.82 - 50$ = 32$

Every time he folds, you are stuffing 20$ of his down your pockets.

12$ difference is 'a lot', but I wouldn't worry too much about it against a semi-lag at NL50, since I really doubt that a lot of those players will fold in so large a pot.
