What's the river plan?

check/call?
bet/fold?
bet/call?

Villain is something like 23/13 over ~ 100 hands and hasn't done anything stupid yet

That's a scary board. There are a lot of hands that you beat that will call a river bet but that check behind if you check. I think a bet of about $8 will get callers from weaker hands and protects you from a re-raise because it leaves you pretty much pot committed to call.

I know it is possibly weak/passive and may allow a free river card that screws you but I check/call the turn. Odds are you are behind now and I want a chance at filling up for free. I don't know if other people play it like that. So I check/call and then check/call a river bet. I just think there are better places to get cash in than OOP on this board.

boycalledroy: the villain called flop, so you automatically put him on a flush draw?

I think we have to bet turn here

full pot the flop.

c/c isnt really that good, he's not really betting much less. sometimes its okay to entice a bluff but overall, many players will not bluff at this board.

what do you think of betting $8 on the river and maybe folding to a shove?

i admit i would have a difficult time folding a set, but most times, villan is rarely shoving with less than a FD.
