I think this is an easy raise. You got donked into by a donkey and you have an overpair. You should be well ahead and will likely get called by a draw or an 8.

Agreed. Very straightfoward raise.

Raise that [censored] up.. if he comes over top then you're looking at a better hand or at least some kind of combo draw.

Donks don't generally play combo draws fast, raise that [censored] up. Fold to a 3bet, otherwise re-eval turn.

I think i raise the flop a bit let, maybe to around 6.5 or in that vacinity. As played i think we need to fold here. I don't think its ever really something we beat unless A8

I think you're way behind the SB here. Looks like an overpair or trips.

You're also behind overcards with a flush draw or combo draw (although if you could put them on this 100%, it would be worth a call). But with the good possibility you're way behind an overpair or trips, I don't think you can call.

you first have to put UTG on a range. given that he limped called a raise his lmost likely holding is small pairs or a small suited connectors. this is a flop that hit both. 88 is border line for raising preflop for someone who will limp small pairs. so the flop isn't great.

at the same time, he bet half the pot. so you have two options. you can either call the flop or raise the flop. folding he flop isn't probably terrilbe. in fact, all three options probably have similar EV calculations. Given that the Villain's are donks I think raising is a good alternative. calling is proably alrihgt since most donks won't double barrell. i doubt he has a couple over cars. sure he might be betting a flush draw but he probably has some outs against you. calling and waiting for a safe card is a find alternative. the difficulty is*knowing* what a "safe"card is.

if you raise. you should probably fold to the reraise without a read. you're hand is either slightly ahead or way behind villains range.

riasing is fine given the half bert pot. if villain bet closer to pot, i think calling and waitng for a safe card is also good. i wouldn't fault a fold depending how terrible vilains are.
