No stats for either hands, I usually play 23/15/2.6 though so I'm probably around there.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

UTG ($85.15)
MP ($49.25)
Button ($74.45)
Hero ($77.80)
BB ($110.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/club.gif, Qhttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/club.gif.
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold</font>, Button calls $0.50, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2) 2http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/spade.gif, 6http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/club.gif, Thttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/club.gif(4 players)</font>
Hero bets $1</font>, BB folds, UTG folds, Button calls $1.

Turn: ($4) 5http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/club.gif (2 players)</font>
[Hero bets $2.5</font>, Button calls $2.50.

River: ($9) 4http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/heart.gif (2 players)</font>
Hero: bets $5, Button raises to $15

I'm not considering a fold, I'm wondering if calling is too weak. I thought I had been taking his Tx to value town until the river, at which point I've got to be pretty sure he has a flush. Button has like $55 left so stack sizes are a little akward for a raise.

Preflop is definitely debatable, to be honest I was 6 tabling and got a little bored.

On turn he took time and was 1 tabling, which indicated to me that he was either weak contemplating a fold, or decently strong contemplating a raise. Once the river paired I checked, not because I though I was beaten but because I thought all the weak hands he could've called with on the turn are not calling river, and the 9 hits a lot of hands in his range which will make him value bet so I'd rather c/c up to 20 rather than bet 12 and be completely lost if he shoves.

Even still I'm sure I'll hear a lot of "hand 1 call, looks standard, hand 2 fold preflop, as played value bet river" so I'd appreciate it if we could keep the short responses like those to a minimum.

Hand 1 you def can't fold, but a raise would only lead to you going broke. I'm afraid you are beat but his small raise makes it too easy to find out.

Hand #2, I think your hand is good and I would probably raise him. If he had a set, he would have played it harder as it is a draw heavy board (especially on the turn). I doubt he made a raise on the flop w/ QJ etc. if he had top two on the flop then that sucks, but I doubt a boat would make such a weak bet on the river. I don't hate your c/c on the river and I think some would disagree with raising on the river, but i think you could get alot of value out of the typical donkey at these stakes. I would prefer a raise if you have some reads so as played is probably okay

hand 1:

I prefer PSB in the limped pot as it accomplished 2 things:
1.) More likely to take it down, shows strength.
2.) Gets money in the pot to pay off your draw when you hit

I think the river call/raise is very feel dependent. Against an unknown I would be more likely to get my stack in because the river also completes the straight draw and villian could think its good.
