$12 is a bit weak on this flop. Make it more like 17 or so, and then shove the turn.

My thinking is, it's a nice sized pot and you are probably ahead here. No sense in letting him try to catch up. Bet 3/4 of the pot to try and take it down. If he calls he's paying quite a bit with a worse hand most of the time.

I kinda like checking behind on the turn and extracting an extra bet from QQ-JJ, or even KQ if villain is a station. There aren't a lot of rivers that can hurt us and a turn check makes the above range more confident in their hand. no?
