Without a read I think folding is right here. His call on the flop looks strong and the 9 on the turn completes the straight for 67, gives 99 a set and 89 two pair. This makes the range of hands you can beat really small.

he donked into us and called a raise on the flop - then leads into us on the turn.

He has a strong hand like a set - OR he's floating with whiffed overcards.

Since we have no reads I'd believe him this time and fold.

if he takes this line again or I have a read that he's aggro then I call down.

the problem here is that our hand if ahead is only slightly ahead - and there are a bunch of cards that can come on the river that we don't like - any /images/graemlins/heart.gif, any overcard to our Tens - even a Tens not great news.

Our hand is vulnerable and we are OOP and have no control over the potsize - so all in all a fold I think is best here.

No. SB donked into us and villain called the hero's raise. Then hero checked and the villain fired a nice size bet.

I am folding.

That cold call behind is scary, fold.

I agree with this as played...

however I'm leading this turn the large majority of the time... OP what was your thinking behind the check? and do the other posters support this thinking?

I check the turn every time and I think the fold is good.

Which hands that we beat call the flop?

And of the hands we were beating, which are we still beating after the bad turn card?

Leading the turn is a really bad play with no read. Villain doesn't play A8 like this.

All you have shown so far is strength and villain is saying your hand is no good. Believe him and wait for next time where you can c/r AI.
