Hi y'all!

From a rookie playing NL$10: What's all the fuss about the suited connectors? I tried calling preflop raises a lot with these, and they ended up being my most losing hands. I've now restricted myself to either limping or calling raises with callers before with them. How do you play them?

What's that? 3 bet all-in?

Everything is situational.. there is no standard thing you should do with suited connectors. Calling a raise with them can be good if the situation is right though.

Over a how large sample size are they your biggest losing hands?

Yes, sorry, just joking.
Your post is a bit vague.
Playing suited connectors can be a bit tricky, as you dont flop a very good hand all that often. You flop a flush about 0.84% of the time.

However, you WILL flop a flush DRAW 10.9% of the time.
Which is pretty damn frequent.
The trick is to pick good spots to apply pressure on your opponent.
Semibluff and play combo draws really fast.

In general calling a 4bb raise with 78s on the button with 100bb stacks is just fine. But you should be confident in your postflop play and know your opponent.

Hmm, I can't check right now. I'd guess at least 20K hands.
