At most times Party has more players listed active. But at times, Stars claims to have more people. Yet still, even when Stars claims to have more players online, I can't find nearly as many of the games I'm looking for (11-55 SnG's, 100NL, etc.).

I have the impression that Stars has more MTT players.
On Sunday btw they had 3725 players for their 500k guaranteed. Party had 2987 for the same tournament.

Are you talking about a $215 Omaha PL event with hours left till the new year?

Well let's see, the $215 omaha tournament started at 4:15, so no I wasn't talking about that one. I was talking about the $200 holdem, with 45 entries. I am sure that it was new years eve that was the problem. Party did only get 880+ for their 10pm tourney.

And how many Party had in their $215 Limit Hold'em on Dec 31? Zero - they didn't run such tourney.

So the answer is "Yes, but not with the players we like"...?

So the MTT forum is licking their chops. One man's meat...

Party is still much, much bigger when it comes to ring games. Especially in mid limits.

Party is much bigger in ring games mid limit and higher.

Stars is a bit bigger in low limit and much bigger in micro limit ring games (Party has no real micro limit).

Stars is bigger in tournaments - all limits.

Pokerstars 150+12 NLH 9:10pm - 450 entries.

I guess you are right.

Normally ‘Low Limit’ would be considered $1/$2 and $.50/$1.00. Currently there are 40 $.50/$1.00 games on Pokerstars and 140 on PartyPoker.

40% of Pokerstars cash games are below $.50/$1.00.

PartyPoker has at any given time twice as many Sit&Go’s running.

The only place that Pokerstars exceeds PartyPoker in numbers is Micro Limit Cash Games and Free, $1 and $2 Multi-Table Tournaments.

And Party doesn't run satellites into its $215 tourney?

What about WCOOP? Yes, it's just once a year.

What about 180-player $22 S & G? Nobody cares really.

Daily Heads-Up MTTs? It's just for nerds.

Deep Stack tournaments? What's the hell is that?

But of course all of the above are $1 tourneys.

Yes, with many more players and higher rake I'd say they probably take in more.

It is actually moving closer and closer each day for Pokerstars catching up to Party!

I have been following on: www.whichpoker.com (http://www.whichpoker.com) the stats and they are closing ground and fast!

About a month ago Pokerstars had approx. 1/2 of Party's active real money players and the numbers have been climbing ever since, especially with double FPP's the end of 2005 and now the VIP program.

January 2- 59.9% of Party's total
January 4- 62.7% of Party's total
