Not a terribly common situation -- or is it? This is villian's first hand at the table, posting a dead blind:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed)

CO ($12.25)
Button ($9.65)
SB ($8.85)
BB ($9.90)
UTG ($9.90)
UTG+1 ($6.05)
<font color="#C00000">Hero ($9.60)</font>
MP2 ($6.55)
<font color="#C00000">MP3 ($4.60)</font>

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T/images/graemlins/club.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif. MP3 posts a blind of $0.10.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.4</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 (poster) raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, Hero calls $1.10.

Flop: ($3.15) Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero (has a good think, then) checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $3.1 (All-In)</font>, Hero ????

Hero is thinking this feels like a stunt, and can't really see a good reason to fold. Maybe he could have even pushed preflop?

I usually call here and hope he doesn't have a Q, I think to myself would a villian do this with a Q wouldn't he want value, usually it's the right call happens a lot to me. Call seems good to me.

How about against a known LAG?

snap call. we have MP.

vs a known LAG it's a call as well.

Sometimes he has the Q or KK - usually he's full of it.

I love shortie posters they always do this kind of redicilous stuff with whatever crap they got dealt.

I sometimes also shove preflop depending on my mood. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
