I play 6 max on World, unlike many other sites I have to "take what I can get" and play whoever or as many people that are at the table.

I wanted to figure out, against what number of opponents am I best at playing and where my highest hourly rate is ? Under the preferences tab on PT I used the "only show stats from hands with".

When I check Exactly 2 players, my bb/100 is approx 27bb/100.

when I check between 5 and 6 players my bb/100 is 5bb/100.

Between 3 and 4 players my bb/100 is 2.2bb/100.

What do you conclude from this evidence considering the # of hands actually played heads up as compared to w/ 6 max?

thanks

nothing...without sample size. Keep in mind the fewer the players the more agressive the game and so higher variance.

sorry, this is over approx 130k hands

again, you need to know the breakdown. How many hands heads up, etc.

exactly 2 or Head's up= 10,000 hands

Between 5&6= 94,000

And the rest come from between 3&4

I guess your right about sample size. Also, this whole thing is difficult to figure out because even 50k total hands ago I was a totally differnt player

yeah, that's something to consider. here are other things to consider.

how many tables can you play with 6 ppl, how many ppl can u play heads up, etc. Then calculate your winrate. If you have infinite bankroll, ie the variance won't matter then go with whatever gives you the higher winrate. The way to calculate winrate is, say you can play 4 tables of HU, and say you play 100 hands/table each hour. So that means 400 hands/hr, then multiply that by your BB/100. Do that for each stage to get winrates.

But if you have a limited bankroll and can't handle the swings (i dont play HU, i don't know what kind of BR is necessary), then just stick with 6max.

I'm not sure what you're asking here, but playing 5-6 handed is the best if you can play that good with 6+ tables. Otherwise HU is obviously the best (assuming you can't 14-table 3-4handed /images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
