no reads really. I think i can get a small pair to fold maybe a weak king here. any thoughts

You also might get flush draws to fold. I usually like to establish a table image first before starting to double barrel people. But then again, what do I know?

I know i dont have a specific read but i think he has a marginal hand. so thats why i made this play. with the draws out there most players would raise right away. This is all speculation but i went with my gut, thinking he was weak. thats all.

I think 2-barreling wet, king-high boards against unknowns is going to show little to none profit in the long run. If the board was J 8 2 rainbow, I would have liked it better.

Aggreed with this kind of board and just sitting down you can't really put villian on a hand. It'd be better just to wait intell you get a feel for the game/villian.

If instead of an 8 it was a 10 or a J, then double barrelling is much better because people often call the flop with 2nd pair hoping to see the PFR check the turn.
