so i decide to play the Monday 100k guaranteed on Mansion (which starts at 11/12am European time) and only 350 people show up as this is the middle of the working day...

Then 1 round in the message pops up that the tournament has been cancelled due to 'technical difficulties', surprise, surprise... Do players get their share of the 100k, as per the TOC? Do they [censored]... they get a refund and the promise of a further refund of the buyin to the next 100k event they enter, thus ensuring a progressively better turnout.

Sound familiar to anyone? Also, note that you cant withdraw any monies you put in there without sending in copious photo id, bank statements etc...

So, GG 3 mill overlay since 1st Jan, i wont be playing on Mansion again - after i find a tournament that doesnt 'crash' whilst everything else on the site works perfectly that is...

This is very standard for sites that have casinos/sportsbooks.

One of my friends won $10,000+ in one of these and he got paid.

I played in 3 (never cashed) and didn't have any issues (other than not cashing!)

These were both before they kicked off the US players.

I played all five hands[!] today in the same tournament and spoke to online support immediately after the problem, i refered them to their T & C and was told the poker dept had made this decision cos it had only been running 10 minutes. i emailed mansion to ask for a further explanation and have yet to have a reply.

Im not sure whether there's anything dodgy going on but they are going to lose a lot of respect if they pick and choose the rules to suit them, especially when that seems to be the only tournament on the site that actually has more than 1 person enter it.

on the plus side i only payed $20 to enter a satellite and got refunded $100, i just feel sorry for the 2 people that had been knocked out when it was cancelled.

I just spoke to Mansion support and they explained that they had refunded my $100 (which they have) and that I could have two free entries into $100K tournaments taking place between now and Sunday. I suggest that anyone else who entered talk to them direct to confirm this. Their representative was OK with me reporting this on a forum.

I did tell him that from a PR point of view I thought they would be better off just sticking to their T+Cs next time, and he acknowledged that other people had made this point.

They have paid out soooooo much overlay from that tournament, without it getting off the ground, that you really can't blame them for doing this.

That's what they said. I have also received an email to this effect which I assume went out to everyone who played.

I didn’t get any email, what was the exact wording? Seems likely that they count $100 cash and one future free entry as two tickets. Or did the specify cash + two tickets?

I love this tournament despite it being by far the worst structure online for any serious money tournament, i mean its just god awful.

But who can say no to 24,000 first place in 100 buy in vs 450 awful players....?

I got this email and it is 2 full buy ins.

"Therefore, to ensure that this settlement is fair we would also like to offer you free entry in up to two $100k Guaranteed events this week."
