Is betting the turn standard here? No reads.

turn bet is spew imo, since nothing that called preflop and on the flop is folding on the turn. You're basically juicing the pot for if/when you hit.

Definately check turn.

What about for deception if I end up hitting my OESD? It would set up for a nice big CR if I were to hit my T or 5 since it might reinforce the idea that I have a big kicker to go with my K.

[/ QUOTE ] This is a bad plan. You will almost always get a check behind with a 1-card staight on the board.

OOP, readless, with a OESFD I don't mind the semibluff here but if you choose to make it the main goal is FE and deception when you hit. If you do hit LEAD the river as villain will be leary of the flush or straight but the turn lead will make him call.

I think this is fine. Any reads on villain? stats? I would play it the same 100% against a calling station or decent players who float too much, folding a 9, K w/ weak kicker or any other PP (TT-QQ) is good here. Against a nit this is not as good and check/calling might be better.

As said above you are not betting here to c/r the river, you are betting because when hitting you will be much more likely to be called by a marginal hand (say KT) than if you check/call the turn.

edit: To those saying check the turn, what is your line if he pots it? If he 2/3 psb and we hit on the river?

it's ok to mix it up like this some times, but normally I'd check turn and lead out on river if I hit.
Also I'd not semibluff here very often. Only against opponents that would fold a lot of turns after calling a flop with a weak K or draw, hoping you give up betting at the turn.

This is how I normally plays draws like that. If you check and come alive when you hit, you usually win very little, if anything.

That's why you mix it up. Also; if they fold too much when you come alive on the third flush card, bluff more.
