I think you need to make your decision on the flop here. If you think you're ahead on the flop, then nothing on the turn and river should realy change that. Seems very unlikey that villain is on a FD (unless its a combo draw) so the 8 on the river improves you against one of the hands that beats you on the flop (j7). Folding to a 1/4 pot bet on the river with so much already invested is pretty bad IMO.

I'd shove it on the turn, I can't see why you would gain anything on just calling there. You're in late position and he might just want to bluff you out there, that's why I'd either let him have the flop right there or push it on the turn. Though he could have some kind of overcards like AK, AQ, KQ?

But I'd still push it on the turn if I though I'd be ahead.

He flopped a straight, I'm quite sure of that! How many hands bet/3bet that flop? Not many as far as I can see and all of them beat TPTK!

I agree with Roy. Not much flop 3-betting going on at these stakes, excepting of course when players flop monsters. Fold flop.

I don't have a problem with the preflop call. My TAG side wants to 3-bet this if the blinds can fold a hand. I'm dropping this after I raise the flop and he doesn't care.

Don't ever call the turn if you are going to fold the river..He bets 3 dollars on the turn, leaving only 2 behind. Its clear this opp wants to get his money in and can beat TPTK. I would dump this on the flop when you are minraised
