Hi all, this is my first post!

Would appreciate advise on how I played out this hand...I'm not sure if I had the correct pot odds calling the all-in on the river.

Before the river is fine.

River: Oh dear, this is a tough one. Because I am a nit I fold this because I think we are pretty beat here and the pot is small. However, if you have evidence that villain is an idiot, that's a different story. I don't really fault you for calling though heads up with the 2nd nuts. In general, be aggressive with any 2 card flush (when board isn't paired), but be very careful with 1 card flushes.

Boy, I hate to think I'd fold the 2nd nuts, but the pot's so small and that's a huge river raise. The way I've run tonight, I'd probably call and curse Villian and his Ace.

Brutal...Let it go... If he did this w/ the J of spades you will stack him later anyways...This HAS to be the ace of spades

I like a bet on the flop w/ a flush draw and an overcard..Builds the pot and makes it harder for someone to put you on the draw

Plus, the check in front of you and the simple limp for middle position scream weakness. Take a semi-bluff stab and hopefully stack the chips

You want him to raise PF from the BB w/ Q8ss?

It also says he was a poster.. I think he was in the BB and the UTG thing is a converter error

Yep...I was a poster, wouldn't have played this hand otherwise. I checked after the flop twice to get free cards. Thanks for the advise so far, keep it coming! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
