Are you joking? Snap call, you're getting 3.34:1 and you have an OESFD on the flop. You're 2:1 to make your flush alone, with your 15 out draw you're just about even money to hit and getting a huge overlay. I'd fold this PF though, and typically just pot the flop.

I wasn't considering folding. I was wondering if there was any advantage in shoving to try and knock out UTG+1.

I shove flop. Villain probably won't fold but I would hate to have to make a tough decision if you miss the turn out of position.

[/ QUOTE ]This is very wrong thinking. Why would you want to knock out UTG+1? If you hit an out you win against either player (usually) and if you don't hit you have 0 showdown value. You WANT UTG+1 in the pot.

I think this makes the decision here a lot closer than the other posters make it out to be. If hero were IP this would be a call. However, with the dead money, OOP, and a UTG+1 who has a good chance of calling I think I go with the push camp.

Yeah, push it. Reload preflop. No need to overbet flop either.

Given whatever table conditions are at any particular time (assuming both me and the PFRer both have ~100 BB stacks), I will call a PF minraise with any hand I would have called the BB with.

Is this too far out of line, as a GENERAL rule?

You are short stacked, this is a beyond easy push.
