it's hard for me to raise the flop UTG with 79s... i don't know.. maybe i'm too TAG? I tihnk that is the standard play for uNL tables

Looks fine to me, though if you're going to bet $7 on the river, you might as well bet $9. If he's going to call $7 with $1.95 behind, I think he's probably calling $9 (or 8.95, whatever). Against an unknown, I think this is pretty standard. If we knew more about villain, we might consider something fancy like a turn c/r given the smallish bet.

Fold preflop. The rest is standard, but shove or value-bet the river.

I agree with most - other than raising PF with 97s UTG, the rest works.

I don't even think you need implied odds on the turn: you've got a good 12 outs to improve to the best hand on the river.

def fold pf, im pretty sure playin suited 1 gappers in EP is -EV in the long run (probably even the short run) and you said it your self "marginal holdings" which suck UTG. Post flop looks pretty standard. I play a TAG style but im pretty sure even a good LAG will tell you to trash this hand pf.

some like raising 97s utg some dont . . . i tend to think SCs like position but when you raise them in ep, you WILL get cold called by better SCs.
