Villain had just joined the table and I had no reads. I think I was way too passive playing this hand.

I was scared of his bet on the turn and didn't raise because I was afraid he might have called me on the flop with 8x or was slowplaying a set. And from my (little) experience playing on this level, most people don't usually bet like this unless they have a strong hand.
Of couse he could also have called with TPHK, JJ, QQ or just overcards, so I think I should have raised there.

Also, do you think I should have bet more on the flop? I think the bet I made was enough to not give him enough odds to call with a flush draw.

After the 8 hit on the river, 55 didn't scare me anymore. Should I have raised here too?

Is 3BBs your standard raise PF??

I would bet more on the flop probably $0.6 as I think that people will easily call that with a FD, remember implied odds.

I actually quite like calling the turn for pot control etc. But when the 8 comes on the river I would push as I think villian is stacking off with quite a few worse hands. The 8 is possible but considering there is only 1 8 left in the deck, and he is not calling your raises PF OOP with many 8s I think you are way ahead of his range.

Bet more on flop.

Turn fine.

There's a lot more T's than 8's that would call a river push.

I usually raise more, but with AA and KK I sometimes raise a little less so I get any action (like when everybody folds to me and/or the table isn't full).
