I have no idea what to even think when people make moves like this. I have ~200 hands on this guy from previous sessions with nothing crazy in there.

Villain has said nothing crazy in the chat the table is playing normal except for another villain who has been raising pretty liberally. Then I get into this hand with the soon to be preflop shovesman.

I have no idea what the hell is going through this guy's head. What's my calling range? Do you think 1010 is ahead of his range enough to ever make this a call? What are your thoughts on this?

I've seen this before, and it's usually one of two things:

1) Villain has a drawing hand (low suited connectors, for example) and thinks you won't call because you're raising light. His reason for doing this is to show you he won't be pushed around any longer.
2) Villain has a premium hand (QQ+) and thinks that you'll think it's case 1 and his "crazy" overpush will get him a call.

There aren't a lot of ways to tell which one's which, but with a seemingly normal opponent, I'd lean toward case 2. You have to assume that, anyway, to protect your stack. Without a read of case 1 happening, you have to fold here with all but the best of holdings.

Edit: I guess change "you" to "Liberal Raiser". But the logic should still work.

gotta fold til we get a better readi. i have a friend who plays like this sometimes and likes to put people on a decision. not a bad play if the roll can back it to use it occasionally. but i never use it i like to play after the flop

It's almost always Case 2 in my experience. Case 1 doesn't last a while and is a total horrible maniac who goes broke in 30 min tops.

I tend to agree, though on WPX 50NL I caught a guy pushing with some crap like 57s... this was a guy who wasn't stupid in general and seemed to play well overall.
