Hi.

Villain is 24/4/3,75 over about 100 hands. I find it really hard to play in situations like this.

Any advice....

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($46.52)
SB ($34.15)
BB ($50)
UTG ($17.20)
Hero ($92.05)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.5, 1 fold, SB (poster) raises to $5.75, 1 fold, UTG folds, Hero calls $3.50.

Flop: ($13) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9.25, SB raises to $20, Hero?.

They normally like to play 1010 and JJ more conservatively, I think he SP KK or AA, planning to make a big reraise. It's going all in if you want a showdown, so let this one go and figure out how to take his money later.

fold, a villain with those stats is only 3betting QQ+ so you're almost always behind

My winrate has grown significantly since I'm able to lay down hands in these spots.

In these generally more aggressive games, 4betting here is no longer a leak IMO. I had 4bets with TT,JJ called by 77 and 33 this week. The plague of light 3betters from MSNL/SSNL has finally reached us. Take the 'Fold' button off your keyboard and prepare for variance.

Your not playing on party I presume? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'm feeling in heaven there, I'm like the only one 3betting very light and people LOVE folding to me. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No, FT, Stars. I would fold at 25NL, flip a coin at 50NL, and raise at 100NL, adjusting for Villian.

Hi.
Yeah, I did fold thinking it might be to weak. I made the same conclusions as some of you, he probably has AA/KK.

WHY?? Villain only has a little more than half a buy-in but shouldn´t I play this for set value anyway? I think he would have problems folding AA against a Q high rainbow like that. The more I think of it I think I should have checked behind on the flop for a free turn card.
Am I totally wrong here???

Why not take the free card and hope for a queen? Given his stats, villain's pre-flop play indicates a higher pocket than yours, so if you hit your card you can stack him.

Fold, he has AA or KK most of the time here making it less profitable in the long run if you call.

this is a good flop to check through, and probably fold to a turn bet. This guy's 3betting range is really small and id b willing to say he has AA/KK alot here.

As played though, fold to the raise
