Bet turn. Check behind river. As played I VB that river. If he spiked a J so be it. He will call with small pps and 6x. I prob bet more like $14 on the river bc they will call and I want the most value I can get.

If villain is a bad as you say, I'm betting the turn here. I want to try and get my stack in there.

As played, yes the river bet is good.

I would bet about 5$ on the turn. If you get raised, you can fold easily. And on the river if he does not raise, you can bet 10$-15$ confident that you have the best hand, assuming that he would have raised you with a higher pocket pair and that he did not raise preflop UTG+1 with a 5. I'm new, thats just my opinion.

Betting $5 on the turn makes absolutely no sense to me. "If you get raised you can fold easily"...if he is very agg he is going to raise a $5 bet all day long.

What do you mean "On the river if he does not raise"? We are in position here, he would have to bet.
edit: just noticed its your first post, welcome to the forum, didnt mean to be too harsh.
To OP:

Why not 3bet pf? The guy is 70/40, we are way ahead of his range here.

As played, bet the turn. Yes I am vbetting the river also.

To defend my 5$ bet on the turn, I am obviously doing that to see how I stand in the hand. I think that a very agg player would come out betting. I think it is unlikely that an agg player would check raise unless he had a good hand (AA-JJ). I can't see him check raising with AK-AJ on a missed flop. I don't have any stats to back this up, only from my experience 5,000+ hands played at 50$NL (which I have been winning significantly at).

For the "on the river if he does not raise", that only means on the river if he did not raise on the turn. Sorry for the confussion.

I find myself in this position a lot and I'm woundering what good plays would be.

bet $15 on turn and check behind on river. If he's on a draw he probably folds on the turn, but if he's calling on the turn he might have you beat with a lot of hands (A5s, 45s, 66, QcJc, JJ-AA).

As played (turn check) the river bet is fine. Checking behind is the safer option and not a lot worse imao, because you don't know much about his hand here, except it might have you beat, after he called your flop reraise.

I also like 3bet pf. As played, I like a turn bet as well. The jack is unlikely to have helped him and you don't want to give a free card with some of the weird stuff he may be holding.
