Just a quick line check here, villain is around 23/10/2.5, I was fairly happy on the flop but didnt think a worse hand would pay off if I raise on the flop, his small bet either looked like a smaller worried pair or a queen extracting so I'd probably call a turn bet as well. When the turn come A and he increases his bet size I read it as been unlikely that he had an ace as he would be reluctant to inflate the pot with the paired board, its also unlikely that he would ramp up his bet as a bluff as an ace is a reasonable part of me range so the only remaining explanation is he's hoping I've got and ace.

Is this line of reasoning good?

raise the flop, u need to protect ur hand, you very well can have the besthand here. I see you dont think a worse hand would pay off, but you need to find where you stand because if the A didn't come when are you going to fold vs trip Q's ?

I like it. I guess it could be 99-JJ taking a final stabb at the pot, but I think I fold here.

Protect from what? There's no draws and if op is ahead, villain is drawing to 2-3 outs. I think this is a wa/wb situation. Unlucky turn
