3 bet the flop, hand plays differently after that. As played I'd bet about 8$ on the turn and probably fold if he shows any more aggression.

If you check behind on the turn you tell him that you are afraid of his K. Anything smaller than pot-sized is an insta-call because of this. Facing a pot sized bet with a possible missed check-raise by villian when the draw comes in I'm not sure.

Turn is possibly worst card in deck for you.

After playing some more rounds with him I think he might could have played this way with TP, but at the time I was afraid the flush, or maybe even a straight.
I should have 3bet the flop, but I was so sick of variance that I decided to wait for a safe turn.. that kinda backfired.. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yup looks like AK to me, who slowed down because of your call or the third diamond. Then he decided to bet pot on river because his hand appeared to be best.

You only raised preflop and made a cbet, then you continued to play scared. This invoked the river bet.
