Why do you minraise? Raise to $8. If he raises that you can fold.

I agree. This 4bet could easily be someone who doesn't believe your min raise and is betting for information.

Yeah, EZ fold FWIW.
The advice above is why 4betting with a fairly tight range rocks.

Standard fold. UTG very often has {AA, KK, AK}.

Are you saying that you want to try and flop a set here? What if the flop is rags like 22J then what?

yes, we are a 1/5 dog pf vs AA KK, if flop is rags we can either A. stick with our read and just c/f or B. bet 2/3ish and see his action, if he does anything besides fold we are obv beat

That is horrid.

perhaps I'm incapable of just check folding a flop with no overcards on it like 22J when I have QQ. Plus given the preflop action villain is going to betting into you on the flop so unless you have set you have a hard decision.

FYP, honestly the guy has 45 dollar stack we invested 5.5 so that makes the total 'pool' to be 50 dollars, and he is giving us 1:7 odds to call given that we only have to call 7 to try to win 57. It is slightly -EV if villan does not take this to the felt 100% therefore making this theory wrong, that is the only way I can see this not worth it to call.

Freedom,
I don't know what to say other than... No?

You don't have the odds to call for set value. It's not even close. The only hand you have a chance against is AK. And who 4bets but not pushes with AK at NL50?

freedom: the odds for flopping a set is 8 to 1 so we need much larger stacks than this to justify a call. Now it is not even worth it if we stack him every time ...

I think of the times you make a set and he has a-k which a donktard like this guy will go broke with on a flop of 10-7-6 off you can make money remeber players like this arte very far from "THINKING" player like you and I.
