First to act after the flop, maniac is button, has been raising a lot from his hijack, cutoff and button. I have been playing quite TAG.. want to extract most value for the turn and river but dont want to scare him away.

How best to proceed?

If he's aggressive postflop, I'd check/call the flop and check/raise the turn. This is one spot where leading out will not help you to build the pot.

I'd check call flop standard, if he is really aggressive I might donk the flop (hoping he has a High heart and is semi-bluffing), then call down hoping he would catch up.

If he checks behind I would bet turn, you have to build the pot somewhere.
