View Full Version : PS 25NL AQ getting minraised into on flop - line check

Villain is 46/22/4.25. I`m 20/13/2.4. Did I played this correct ? Since I usualy continuation bet this flop, I normaly ignore min bets like this and just reraise potsize. Should I have played it differently ? Comments appreciated.

If you thought he was full of it on the flop why didn't you raise?

If you get pushed over, you can fold, if he calls you still have many outs.

As played, you don't know if he is slow playing you or if he has a draw. I wouldn't be surprised to see KQ here.

I think the flop is a raise or fold

PS. I would never do this against someone who was less aggressive than this villain. Your numbers tell me he would probably raise with a draw here

I called his min-reraise, cause I`m in position and have probably 10 outs if villain is holding something like KJ, we where 200bb+ stacks, so I figured I was getting some nice implied odds. His turn check was weird tho.

I didn't notice how deep you are, but i still like a raise against this villain.

Specifically because it will make the turn play much easier as it forces the villain to define his hand. If he comes over the top for a big raise on the flop you can just fold. I guess you might blow yourself off the draw but i am worried that you might hit your A or your Q and still lose.

Don't ignore his minbet, figure out what it means preflop.

If you gonna figure out every minbet you see in micros, you gonna play 10 hands per hour.

Yeah, kind of hard to guess his 3bb bet preflop. He was betting 22% of his hands the same way ;(

Ehm, you can't continuation bet, when you don't raise preflop. I really reraise preflop here, you are faaaar ahead of his range, and he only bet 3xBB (I want more money in the pot).

I don't really want to bet the flop here, unless I know that he min bets postflop with weak hands (aka. stuff that he is willing to fold). I generally don't like to bet into guys with stats like this whitout having a piece of the flop, especially when I weren't the preflop aggressor.

As played your flop call is fine, but only because you have big stacks.

And seriously, make notes about what people make these min bets with. Some people makes them with weak hands/draws, which you can exploit. It is like some people waving a flag with the text "look at me, I have a flushdraw".

QFT

If you're not keeping notes on what villains mean with their minbets then you are leaving money on the table.

I would RR PF. Your hand is far ahead of a 46/22's range, even if he raised UTG.

As played, your flop raise is fine. You'll get many many folds there and you also have some nice outs (I'm sure most of them are clean).

After he reminiraises you, I like calling. Without the gutshot its a bit closer, but otherwise, I think you played this hand fine. nh.

Tks for all the comments. BTW he showed down J7o. Will take note on villain to exploit in future.
