Villain just sat down, I have no read on him. What line would you take here? What hands would raise me here on the flop?

If he's unknown, I dump. If theres history, you can call and check turn.

You have to fold here. You might have the best at the moment but calling sucks because you are out of position and he will likely fire the turn when checked to him.

yeah im folding here too - also, on the turn hes got 30 behind in a pot of 40. if he starts betting out hes nigh-on pot committed - so only call/raise this bet if youre happy to invest a lot more - otherwise its best to just dump it now.
oop position with a marginal holding here its a definite dump

With new players, I'll assume that they are honest until they convince me otherwise. I used to have it the other way about and it got pretty expensive.
