Villain is a bit too loose and not very aggressive (31/9 over 77 hands).
How's my line here? Can't find a reason not to put the last $7 in, am I right?

I would raise to pot preflop...

as played I'd do the same.. On the river, you'd call his last $7 anyway and he's not folding Ax but could check it behind...

When I'm in the blinds I raise a bit more, because I'm OOP.

yeah i like the pf bet sizing here - i think youre probably beat here but the bet on the end isnt even questionable. river was fine. (and by probably i mean almost certainly)

what is the advantage of playing a bigger pot OOP?

I'm going for Folding Equity with my larger-than-normal raise. Works quite well - usually /images/graemlins/wink.gif

preflop sucks.

flop is OK

turn. not so goot.

if he's a calling station who'll call you down with a weaker Ace or a fd then I like it a lot - but if he's not a station I can't see him calling unless he can beat top 2 pair (AK)

We have TPTK now so I check the turn and see what he does. If he bets the turn I'm done here cos a passive isn't betting this turn unless we're beat very often.

river standard as played.

so you'd rather play big pots OOP - and fold the table all the ties you pickup a goot hand????

that strikes me as ass backwards.

If larger than standard raises are folding the table usually I'd bet larger more often with stuff like any 2 connected 34+ then CB the flop and shutdown if I miss rather than waste goot hands to do it with.

i dont think hes trying to fold the table when he has a good hand - only when hes vulnerable and in the blinds - aq is a pretty weak holding with so many players in here and when in the blinds hes not looking to see a flop with this hand oop so tries to maximise his chances of taking it down by betting larger than usual.

I do like checking the turn for some semblance of pot control

if you check turn, whats your plan when the /images/graemlins/spade.gif falls... c/c, c/f or bet/call?

He'd have roughly a PSB left.

If villain had $50 to start with i'd prolly check the turn. but theres an FD out there, and he only has a PSB left. I'd play it the same as Hero... i really dont think he folds a FD to a ~$14 turn bet, and he'll hang around with AT or even some weaker aces.

I would just pot the turn and put him all in right there. Betting $12 and leaving him with $7 when you're pot committing yourself to put his last 7 in anyway. I'd expect him to be on a draw more often than not.. and if he has a set.. good for him, you can't exactly check fold that turn.
