just over 10 in the pot with 2.5 to call and he has virtually nil left after this bet?
despite this im still folding, youre against a j a hell of a lot and your 4 def. outs twice may still leave you beat as j10 is a definite possibility.
im letting this one go but sobbing at the odds.

well i guess it was suited too.
so obviously it was a masterful play on his part.

does he minraise with a premium hand, leaving 30c behind? This looks like a standard minraise-steal to me (edit: because it really doesn't look like he tried to think about bet sizes at all). Maybe he has a small PP. But I don't think a J (you gave away the result, but I'm trying not to be biased). It is certainly the obvious threat here. But it's mubs just as easily. Still you are behind any PP, any 9 and any A. I'd "push" here with A hi. But I think I'll take his money with K hi another time.

i still think hes trying to get a call here - the 30c is probably left out through carelessness (just pressing the raise button) or because he thinks its more likely to get called.

you must admit you do see a lot of chip amount bets at uber low limits (betting 8.96 when you want to see a fold because its lots of chips on the screen and 10 when you want a call as its just 2 $5 ones.

im still folding this if my holding is marginally better but each to their own eh

I'd probably either check behind or bet less on the flop just because of his stack size. As played, I'd fold to his mini-raise.

I must admit that I have never noticed this and never cared. Actually I find it very inconsistent how some poker sites display certain bet amounts. Sometimes they'll display $1 as two 0.5 chips, sometimes as a pile of .1 and .2 chips.

I just see that minraise button used with no hands at all on flops that are unlikely to have hit a villain so often that I'm quite a cynic in this spot. Still I don't think OP has enough showdown value here. I'd push with any PP though.

yeah its wierd how some sites do the chips on screen - i think on some it depends on the action, ie someone opens for $30 in a 5/10 game and gets raised to $90 - that comes up as 3 stacks of 3 $10 chips but if someone open raises for 90 it comes up with 3 25s a $5 and a 10.
with others their motivations are just wholly esoteric but to be fair im not too bothered.

yeah im probably going to call this down with pps and definitely with 9s too but im still expecting to be beat.

Call and gambool. With villains stack size and the high probability that he's a drooler you're getting the odds to call, assuming your overcards are usually clean outs.

Thinking that villain can only have a J here... Have you guys recently checked what's under your bed?
