Yeah, make a choice on the flop.

Certainly fold the turn. What on earth are you beating here?

I knew I messed up on the turn, but was not sure about raising pf, and c-betting that flop... but that is certainly better than how I played. thanks

Agreed. On the flop, raise or fold.

But, we've all been caught up in hands like this before. It's "easy" to see when not in the moment and just reading these at our leisure. Just make note of it and try to avoid this situation in the future. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I disagree with raising or folding on the flop. Calling is fine.

1) It's less than a half pot bet, so hero is getting over 3:1 to take one off and give himself a chance to hit top pair.

2) Hero can learn more about villian's hand since he has position.

3) If hero raised he'd have to put him all-in, which would be basically as a bluff. He folds any non-pair hands he bet with (if he would even do that), but probably calls with the pocket pairs. Since he didn't believe the reraise preflop, he probably won't believe the flop raise either.

The flop call is the only play I agree with in the hand though. I hate the reraise preflop, and of course the turn call is bad. It looks like villain had an overpair, something like 88 and you have to assume that you're drawing to 6 outs (14%) to win. Also since the bet was over pot size, should make it an even easier laydown.

Yeah i dont think this flop call is too bad ASSUMING your folding to a push on the turn when you dont improve.
