I know at these limits that sort of play is usually the nuts or close to it. But I have the nfd and the nsd. Can you find a fold? To call the push was about 1.7:1.

edit: because his line is complet air/lower flushdraw/pair+FD/2pair and you have pretty great equity here vs even the stronger end of his range

I think this is just a spot where you need to do some poker stoving and work out the EV.

Oh Im wrong. Sorry. The best hand he can hold on the flop is a Straight and we are not drawing dead.

Just out of interest, we're in better shape here vs the nuts (T9) than we are against the second nuts (QQQ). So we actually want the villain to hold T9 rather than a set.

Thanks everyone. I definitely did call and caught the flush card on the turn.

Villain had top set. When I stoved that one hand i had ~33% equity so I was taking the worst of it in that particular instance. But for his entire range, I can see that it is profitable.
