i just stacked UTG the hand before and then a i catch a beautiful AK. one villian calls in front of me, do i push to isolate the tilting donk or call and evaluate the flop?

We have utg's range crushed here, and MP is likely to call a push with marginal hands given his stack size and money in pot, so push.

I agree, even if you are behind you have sick odds. Reraising and try to scare him out to make it that much sweeter. GL

just checking. UTG was owned hardcore, however MP won the entire pot......the outcome

after reviewing the hand, i had thought that maybe if i had just cold called and then shoved the nut straight draw that popped up, villian would have had a hard time calling with A2 since he hadnt hit anything yet but at the same time, whoda thunk he'd be calling with A2.

You have sick equity with AK vs A2, you don't want him to see a flop and fold, you want his stack in the middle pre.
