3-bet, another heart will kill your action and a set will pay you off.

If he has an higher flush, you run bad.

I figured that a proper re-raise (in order to deny him odds to chase with a one card flush draw) would pretty much commit me anyway and just pushed. Is that a sensible play?

reraise him, and call his all in. if he has the nut flush hes usually gonna play it slower. if he has a hand like 2 pr or a set hes gonna wanna get all in asap too

Just so I understand: I'm getting my money in anyway so I can play it slower to allow a set/2pair to stack off instead of just the nut flush calling my all-in?

I thinks it is, since on that level you will a lot of times get a call even from AQ no heart.

I'd pop him to about $6 or $7, leave him some room for doubt as to whether or not you have the flush. If you go all in he has to give you credit for the flush, if he chooses to call he's making a major mistake and if he mucks (not likely) you've taken down 15 bb with minimal risk, if he calls and a heart hits on the turn and he bets out you can still get away from the hand without getting stacked..

Re-raise the flop. Further hearts will kill your action completely and usually your hand too, he's coming along with sets/2pair, sometimes with an A/images/graemlins/heart.gif and other random crap

Shoving is just overkill and you'll only scare away too many hands. I would raise to 8ish and open shove any non-/images/graemlins/heart.gif turn.

Re-raise to $6.

If he isn't holding a flush this should scare the crap out of him.

If he comes over the top of you, on default I'd fold for 3 reasons.
1. This is a flush a large % of the time
2. Since he limped in the CO if he did flush he's likely beating us.
3. When we're ahead he has outs, when he's ahead we're drawing dead.
