flushdraw with a 5 is not uncommon with this line. I would 3-bet flop and shoved turn

perfect....check to induce and instacall

and yes, reraise the flop

Reraiiiise that flop. Shove or at least pot the turn. As played call river.

You want to stack this guy on the flop, right? There are $35 effective stacks that need to get in by the river in a $1.5 pot. You need to start building this on the flop better. You lead, which is good, but when he min-raises you, you should put in a real raise here.

Turn is good, but checking the river is really bad. He checks behind lots of 2 pair hands that could call you on the river, and you might have allowed yourself to get pushed off the best hand, because you obviously don't have a straight when you check the river after betting the whole way.

If I were to check the river it would be to induce a bluff from missed clubs (unless you think this guy doesn't bluff here). There are a ton of 2 pair hands that could also be betting for value here at 25NL.

Depending on the villian I think you could jsut push the river for value, or bet $10 and fold to a raise, or check/call anything..

This is good advice.

I don't know why you call the flop. There are so many scare cards that can come on the turn. Just re-raise to like $9 on the flop. Pot the turn. You could bet $10 on the river and fold to a push.

You could bet $10 on the river and fold to a push.

[/ QUOTE ] IMO that would be really, really bad. You would be getting like 3:1 on the river to call and we have a set.

We're beat like 90% of the time here, maybe more.

I would never do that ever against any opponent that could ever jump on a weak bet and bluff. My default at 25NL would be to push here. I am saying some villians are so so so wimpy that they wouldn't raise ever without a straight. I would bet this much against some villians and instacall.

The point is, that it is a valid play.

you would also be getting way better than 3:1 to call on the river.

3.67 to 1. So we'd need to be good here at least 20% of the time.
