Now you have the possibility to exchange your Absolute Reward Points for cash.

Quote:
"The value of your points is determined by your VIP status level. Please note that the point value when exchanging points for cash is higher than the point value of any item in the VIP store. The lowest amount of points that can be exchanged is 50,000. Thanks for playing online poker at Absolute Poker."

Absolute statements:
"You will automatically achieve Platinum status as soon as you earn 20,000 VIP Status Points. 40,000 VIP points earns you Elite status."
"Q: Do my VIP Status Points expire?
A:No, you will never lose your VIP status points or your VIP Status."

My question is how can you have 50,000 ARP's and still be VIP and not VIP-Elite?

There is a 10k status pt per month requirement to maintain elite. So you are not elite for life once you get there you must meet the monthly requirement.

because you can earn multiple ARP's per hand at higher stakes while still only getting 1 VIP status point.

@playersare How is that possible when both type of points are calculated the same way?

Quote:
"
- For every 40¢ in the final pot, 0.1 VIP points are awarded and distributed among those players that have contributed to the pot. The distribution of points to players is based on their percentage contributions to the pot.

your ARP earn rates are doubled once you reach platinum status, so you could theoretically reach 50K ARP before reaching Elite.

OK.
So you can have 50,000 Points and not be VIP Elite, but it still eludes me how you can have 50,000 ARP-Points and still be "only" a VIP.
You earn double points after you reached platinum, but you automatically achieve Platinum status as soon as you earn 20,000 VIP-Status/ARP Points.

You are elite for life.

"Your status lasts forever. In order to maintain access to your VIP benefits, you must meet the monthly VIP Status Points requirement."
"If you drop below the monthly maintenance requirement for two consecutive months, we will place your VIP benefits on hold until you reach the monthly goal again."

Um you will lose your "elite status" but you wont lose your "vip" status. There is a very big difference...
