Hey guys,

Just curious as to your aspirations regarding poker. Do you want to be 8-tabling 1k nl next year, or are you happy beating 25 or 50nl for a steady rate for extra spending money?

Myself, I'm happy developing my game and spending winnings on extra stuff like going out etc (I'm at university).

Goals are to spend more time analyzing my play, watch all of the cardrunner videos, and hopefully this time next year be playing 2/4NL, maybe 5/10 depends on how the summer goes.

My goal at the start of this month ($1250 br) was to have a $5k bankroll by the end of April and to be at around $10k by August (I'm dropping 3k on an apartment in June, so $13k total by August).

My goal in December (for those of you who remember my thread) was to get my $150 bankroll off the ground finally after hearing helpful words from people on whether I should grind or get a job.

My goal, starting 11 days ago was to grow my $2500 BR to $10k in 60 days. I'm currently at $3,600 and playing NL $100, not counting any rakeback due for February. My goal is to get to at least $10k by the end of these 60 days, and to comfortably be playing NL $200 at that time. I want to be able to at the very least solidly grind NL $200 this summer, hopefully winning at NL $400 as well. By the end of the year, I want to be up at least $30k on the year (counting RB + bonuses) and have at least a $20k roll so that I can comfortably grind NL $400 / $600 and occasionally take shots at NL $1000.

My goal would be $200 NL (at $10 NL now) by the end of the year. Then I can go play live in the $1/$2 games without as much bankroll (and skill) fear. I do play pretty well at low-limit ($3/$6, $4/$8) live poker.

I'm only earning like 1/2 a PTBB/hr. I keep my goals realistic.

I want to go from .25/.50 to 1/2 by the end of summer

In other words, I would like to take my BR from $1300 to over $5000 in 6 months. I think I can do it.

GL. The first 10k in poker is by far the toughest to earn.

For those of you that do not know me, here is my plan. I've been solely living of poker from january 2006-december 2007 more or less succeding allthough doing too well sep and oct made me up my spending with november being an awful month almost killing me.

Well a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, and so I am finishing my college degree these days with my final paper (on the economics of gambling btw /images/graemlins/grin.gif ) meeting a deadline of the 28th of march.

After that I will get a temp job in a call center or similar for 3 month while the paper is graded and I wait for my degree. (I will barely have any money left for a roll 25NL, so I have to have something beside poker)

And after that I will try to get a job as an economist, but should that not succed, then I am still garanteed an income from the unions for a couple of years being newly graduated from the university (danish system, have no idea how that works in the US)

Enough personal stuff, My plan is to give poker a shot the smart instead of the stupid way this time around, mainly playing simply to build roll and without the pressure of having to cash out regulary ... I also intend to spend some of it on coaching once (if /images/graemlins/wink.gif ) I hit 100NL and manage to do well there.

I do not know about my skillset, but the last year has been a nice lesson in variance, I would like to think that I am capable to stand a lot, allthough many of you might remember, that last mother of a downswing in november put me on perma lifetilt ... ending up flaming this forum big time etc etc etc .... still I make my assault starting april and even though it is only in a month, I figure many of you to be veteran SSNL players by then /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Same goal here, except that I play FR. I just got fed up with bad beats 8-tabling NL100-200 (down 1.5k in 1 week, although the beats don't have much to do with the game being FR, it's just that I'm a bit bored atm) and decided to move down / over to NL50 6max on the side. I'll mix some FR and 6max for the next few months and I hope to be at 10k by the end of the school year (~may).
