raise more preflop.

$1 vs 0.85 makes a big difference on later streets.

fold preflop when you get raised.

he's 22/9/ONE

he isn't 3 betting you without a big pair or AK very often.

vs that range AQ is toast not even being OTB can swing that to a call imo. (EVEN if he has 100BB's)

vs a shortstack fold even faster (you have no odds left to chase anything if he's putting 1/3rd of his stack in pre) and if you really really really don't want to fold(because you think you're ahead somehow) your only real option is to 4bet all-in preflop.
