I wish you hadn't posted the turn and river but I think I would have 3 bet the flop after his RR. If he's raising A8 or K8 out of the BB then more power to him. If he's got an over pair he might fold thinking you have an 8.

Just shove the flop. If he has and 8, so be it. He calls with hearts, small pockets, AK, AQ and who knows what else. Plus he's short, we're not folding.
