I've only sat through 2 orbits with villain and so far he's not played many hands but ya know ... sample size /images/graemlins/smile.gif

This line makes no sense to me so if anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it.

Fold. Whatever he has, you have just one pair and that's usually not enough to call an all-in.

If you ask me what he might have: A pair 99+, a set, nothing at all. But you are far more often behind than ahead in these spots, so fold.

Um, the only hand I can think of that might play this way, and which you are ahead of, is AK spades. He raises utg, and most people dont do that with AT.

The check call on the flop makes me suspicious - I'd say he has TT. He probably feels he has you committed on the turn.

Edit: It could be a stone cold bluff as well, but I would like to have more of a read before I call here.

because it is weird.
weird = bluff.
but we dont really know this villain,
so folding is probably better.

Looks like a set to me.

Probably just c/c'd the flop to see if the flush came on the turn with the intention of pushing if it didnt.
