3bet here preflop is decent if villian has % to steal >25.
If just calling pf, C/R flop to about $5-6 and lead turn for $8-9

I am check raising this flop also, villain is most likely going to cbet anything here, including a draw.

ok, but my $4.5 raise is too small?

I think your preflop is fine. I like a CR on the flop too, expecting a c-bet. I would raise to $6.50 however, and if called, lead the turn with a PSB.

Its about a pot sized bet, but I would probably make it 5 or so.

spacetime is right. For a CR like this I want to give my opponent close to 2:1 to call, and you can do exactly this by tripling his bet back at him PLUS the existing pot of $2.10. This is ALWAYS the formula to use if you are facing a bet and intend to make a PSB back at him.

Flop pot of $2.1 plus his bet of $1.5 makes it $3.6 with $1.5 for you to call. If you raise it to $1.5 times 3 and add the previous pot of $2.1 to your bet, you are making it $6.6. Villain now must call $5.1 into a $10.2 pot. Now you're offering him 2:1. If he calls, it's a huge mistake unless he has either the nuts, a better set, or a strong draw, i.e. 9 outs or more to a hand that beats your set.

I like the c/r on the flop but would make a bigger raise. After this turn card I'd lead the turn with a PSB.

Flop play is fine, but I would typically raise a bit larger. I would also bet the turn and call an all in.

There are other lines you can take. Bet/3-bet on the flop is fine. Just don't fold.
