i dont know much about villan in this hand

this is a weird c/r, should I call? bet flop?

Bet the flop.

Check flop, call turn and bet river makes no sense to me.

As played, I call the river raise.

Paired board flops are dangerous and I hate them (unless I make top full house)

He probably made a full house with the 4 or the 5.

If you had bet the flop and he was holding a pair of 4's or 5's he would have probably folded then.

I think you are beat on the river and would fold. His turn mini-bet could have been a "dare to reraise me bet".

did you have a specific reason for checking the flop? i would have just put a bet out then
