Final Pot: $9.75

Villain is 20/9/1.5

Main thing I question is betting the turn or not. The check/call on the flop indicated to me he was either slowplaying a set or had high PP and was as afraid of the ace as I was.

What do you think?

Looks OK to me. I wouldn't be shocked to see a weak A here a decent amount of the time but I think you have odds to call river. A turn bet of say $4-$5 probably chases some of those aces away but I can't argue too much with checking behind. I don't think you want to build a monster pot here.

Why the massive raise PF? The only person calling that raise is beating you or probably soon will be. I don't mind the RR just the amount. It makes it harder to get away from.

I thought that was a pretty standard 3bet amount? Am I wrong?

The PF 3-bet is far from "massive"...a full PSB there is >$1.6 so its fine.

I usually play it the same. Fold to a larger bet on river but he makes it attractive enough to call.

When it gets to you PF the pot is $0.55 (.10+.05+.40). You're betting $1.20 for a 0.55 pot. If he calls and an A or K hits with no Q you're gonna have to fold. Just seems excessive to me. But maybe I don't understand PF play as well as I think I do.

A PSB is usually defined as the potsize AFTER you call. This gives villain 2:1 odds if he chooses to call your raise.

In this case pot is $0.55+$0.40 = $0.95. So a PSB is to $1.90.

I'm no math guy, but the A or K is only getting home on the flop ~34% of the time. Preflop raises of 3-4X the initial raise are standard (or at least I've been telling myself that). By reraising here, we probably can eliminate AA or KK as possible hands. That river bet is weak sauce. I'd call. Nice hand.

Raise more PF
Check behind on the FLOP.
There is no point in betting

No point in possibly representing AK or AQs?

I think that's the only thing that's calling you PF.

What did he have anyway?

I think you are beat a lot of times here and if you bet will get called/raised by any A
Most times worst hands like JJ will fold
Sometimes I saw KK calls a small bet and then takes a similar line to the one in your hand
TT has us crushed
So here we hope JJ and KK fold so we can take the pot away

I like checking behind and taking a free card(I still have 2 outs so my let him checkraise me and make me fold the flop when I can see TURN for free) and then see what he does.
I'll call small bet , fold to a big bet on TURN.
RIVER:If I've called TURN and he bets again I fold.
If he checks I check behind
This is microstakes so people like to play a lot of aces
