Are casinos generally compatible with Windows 2000 professional? I'm thinking of getting that OP but would like to know how it work with casinos and poker sites.

More or less everything compatible with Windows XP is compatible with Windows 2000. I've been using Windows 2000 for years now, and never had any problems at any casinos.
