I think I check here. Im not sure hed call a push with ace ten, and thats your best hope. Im not sure how much he could bet that Id be inclined to call on the river. Maybe 5 dollars.

I don't think I can see getting away from the hand here. I also don't see what he called the $8 turn with that you beat besides KK-JJ, but villain is repopping those hands most of the time. River is a push for me as played. I can be a complete nit sometimes, but after thinking this through, I like checking the turn on the dry board for pot control. See what he bets on the turn, and if he checks behind bet $6 or so for value on the river.

i dont think you need to bet full pot on the turn since it's a relatively dry board and you might force out several of the hands that you beat with a bet that large(most tens, 55-99, etc). as played i think you have to push the river. it's not like you can check/fold when he puts you in for a little over half pot and he's certainly calling you with several hands you beat. this is nl25.

Would you really be check/folding to a bet? Just bet it as you dont want hands to check behind that you are beating.

I was thinking I have to call a raise if I bet so I thought it's best to check to induce a bluff.

He went AI to my check.

He's always betting if he has you beat, and can check behind with a weaker hand. The pot is so big that you are getting good enough odds to call, so I'm betting here to avoid the negative freeroll.

Good point. It's sort of the collorary to the usual river situation where only hands that have you beat call.
