should i think about getting away from this ever?

What do you think he has to call your raise in the BB and bet out on this flop? I call the flop and probably have to fold the turn after the 7 hits.

Reads? Seems unlikely that you are ahead on the turn without specific reads that villain would pot pot with a weak draw, TT or A9 here.

I strongly consider folding the turn here.

playing it like this is really bad. Im probably making it 10$ on the flop, then folding to a shove...and if he smooth calls checking the turn for pot control, and re-evaluating the river.

But if the flop is called, im folding the turn.

My thoughts exactly, though I think the raise size should be to more like $11 or $12 on the flop, b/c minraises (and $10 is pretty close to a minraise) can lead opponents to behave erratically, which isn't what we want here
